The Pungk'tum Project

Exhibition of Pinhole Photographs, Access-Space, Sheffield, 2009/2010

Works created during a three week artist residency run by the Access-Space arts programme.

The Pungk'tum Project explored strategies centered around a do it yourself methodology, making cameras from found and recycled materials as well as utilising primitive photographic processes. The work itself, often presented in negative or on roughly applied emulsion, leans towards an abstract or impressionistic quality almost painterly in style. All the photographs were taken in Sheffield with pinhole cameras and processed in a makeshift darkroom in Access Space.
